You can find a bunch of interesting unused items at The Cutting Room Floor.
Here's some things I personally found:
-The Forlorn Junk Heap has unused overworked sprites. (Left, Right, Down. Only his back sprite is seen.)
-The unused Drago enemy has 2000ish EXP give.
